Bologna's Villa Spada Gardens are located in the grounds of the 18th-century Villa. This park offers a magnificent view of Bologna's surrounding hills and is bordered by the Ravone river.
The Palazzo Ravone was built in the 18th century and the Villa Spada Gardens gardens were initially constructed and landscaped shortly afterwards.
Opened to the public in 1970, the gardens of the Villa Spade contain a large terraced Italian garden and numerous native and unusual plants from all over the world.
